We use Marketo in the marketing, sales ops, and business systems teams for campaign management, lead nurturing, list uploads, lead scoring, and lead routing.

  • Lead management--scoring and routing
  • Email templates are fickle
  • Easy to make mistakes that result in mass-updating/emailing leads or contacts in your system
  • Load times are slow
Marketo is well suited for managing your database of leads, especially it you already have Salesforce. However, Marketo treats leads and contacts the same which may or may not be a good thing depending on how you use leads and contacts in salesforce.
