Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We use Marketo to facilitate the journey from prospect to a prospect engaged with our sales team. We also use it to manage the customer journey with adoption communications and nurtures.
  • The smart list feature is an intuitive tool to identify target segments and ensure that action steps affect the right individuals.
  • Its integration into Salesforce helps with our attribution model in our bookings report.
  • I would like to see a good UI that shows the defined audience segments communication calendars, as well as something that better navigates the trigger campaign interactions that result from setting up new program interaction points.

For all sales objectives, we are trying to reach the right people at the right times with the right position statements for their role. For product launches, we are trying to build user excitement and set the stage for adoption. For customer service messages we are trying to communicate critical information to the right stakeholders.
Marketo is very well suited for a B2B company with well-defined personas. It is not as well suited for an email blast B2C with little audience differentiation.
