Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting

We use MIP Fund Accounting only in the finance office of our school. Each one of our departments must create and maintain their own budget and MIP helps us to create the proper reports to allow those individuals to accomplish this.

  • Ability to use the same invoice number for different vendors in the same batch
  • Simplify report writing
  • Simplify file imports
  • This doesn't really affect us - we are a private all girls high school and just use MIP for basic accounting.

I've always been able to reach customer support, either by phone or chat, and have my questions answered in a very timely manner.
I've been using MIP for over 5+ years and it has all the functionality we need. I think the basic account flow is easy to understand with a minor amount of training.
I was not involved in the decision to puchase MIP - it was already in use when I started here at the school.
We are a simple user, AP, AR and general journal entries - so MIP is very functional for us. There are times when we have an AP batch with vendor invoice with no number so we like to use the date of the invoice - MIP does not allow this though. It would be helpful if you could allow the same invoice number (as long as the vendor is different) in the same batch.
