Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used at the client I am currently working at. They use it as a tool to collaborate within the teams and across the teams. It is mainly used in the preparation of the planning for the whole project team. To define activities for each team, the timelines, and dependencies between teams. Within my team, we use it for workshops and agile ceremonies like the backlog refinement session and sprint retrospective.
  • Interactive.
  • Visualization options.
  • Copy paste.
  • Collaboration.
  • Flexibility in the creation of a standard template, if you want to make customize one of yourself it takes quite some time.
  • It improves insights into what every team is doing.
  • It improved collaboration with team members located at different countries.
  • It improves productivity as it is easy to use and people enjoy using it.
I don't have any key insights regarding the implementation.
It is straightforward to integrate other documents in Miro, however would be beneficial if you for example add a PowerPoint deck that you can decide which slide needs to be shown on default. Currently, you will see the cover page so therefore as a screenshot of the slide and not the PowerPoint file.
Everyone is able to come together in one tool which we use to share ideas, visualize ideas or draft our planning activities and make the dependencies between them visual.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Recommended if you want to work together, especially when your team is located at different locations. I would use it if the team was all in one place because then I would recommend making use of a whiteboard to increase interactions between the team members.
