Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We've used Miro in a variety of ways. It's been particularly useful for brainstorming and design thinking sessions where a group of people come together to generate as many ideas as possible. The ability to move sticky notes around the board makes it possible to organize our ideas into categories or priority levels. It reminds me of whiteboard sessions we used to have when we were in the office together, with the added benefit of having that easy ability to reorganize notes with a quick drag and drop. It helps us connect more effectively as a team even with working remotely. We love being able to drop in emojis and photos to make the experience feel more personal. It's also more effective than a traditional in-person brainstorming session because it allows everyone an equal opportunity to generate ideas, not just the most outspoken.
  • Allows every user an opportunity to generate ideas (even the shy ones or introverts)
  • Allows for personalization and customization with emojis and graphics
  • Allows sticky notes to be organized easily with a quick drag and drop
  • Controls take a bit of time to get used to
  • More music options
  • More sticky colors
  • Solicited feedback from stakeholders on how to improve leader communications tools- ideas shaped subsequent improvement in toolkit's efficiency
  • Design thinking session generated 50+ ideas for ongoing communication content calendar
  • Remote team uses Miro for monthly team meeting where members record monthly objectives and check in with each other
We learned as we went when we first started with Miro. Most of the controls and functions were easy to understand right away. Some of the functions were less intuitive but we figured them out. I appreciate that Miro offers virtual walkthroughs of its functionality to help get new users up to speed.
Miro is perfect for remote teams. It gives us a virtual whiteboard that we can all work on in real time. Everyone has an equal voice and everyone can contribute. I especially like that the board is available for viewing and editing before and after the meeting. Being able to see it before the meeting gives group members an opportunity to organize their thoughts ahead of time and come prepared. The ability to review afterward gives group members a chance to refresh their memories, catch up if they had missed the meeting, and further refine the ideas as needed.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is perfect for design thinking sessions or any time there's a need to come together to generate ideas. It is also ideal for discussions where group members are asked to contribute ideas or information such as recurring stand up meetings. It would be less appropriate for meetings that are more structured with clear agendas and bullet points already built out.
