Monday.com is used across the whole organization, to coordinate projects and keep everyone informed on the progress of each project. As an editor, I'm constantly moving from one video to the next, sending a version I've finished to my supervisor for revision, and checking on the status of new video projects coming down the pipeline. I use monday.com to keep everyone on my team as well as other coordinating teams informed on the status of each project. It helps everyone to cut down on time spent sending individual emails, reduce[s] the need for asking questions to dozens of people to get information on each project, and provides an easy one-click option for receiving information on any task planned for in the future, currently being worked on, or archived.
- Laying information out in a clean, concise, and easy-to-understand manner.
- Giving quick and easy ways to edit information on projects to match their status.
- Saving time by turning a task that could take minutes to an hour into a page that's just one click away, and easily edited by an entire team.
- Can be a little confusing for new users, with so many facets in a single program.
- Relies heavily on the organizational skills of whoever supervises the department. Different supervisors/departments can have radically different experiences with the program.
Monday.com has only improved my overall workflow, and helped me to stay organized and on top of things. Everything that I have needed to use in my non-supervisory, non-management role has worked according to its claims and been very reliable and intuitive. I can easily check on monday.com to determine what my next project is, when it needs to be finished, and what my workweek will look like, without having to write it all down myself, or email various supervisors for information.
