Score 10 out of 10
Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- Allowed for easier communication and project management with freelancers, so that external hires can continue to work, update, and communicate even over weekends and from afar.
Monday.com is used across the whole organization, to coordinate projects and keep everyone informed on the progress of each project. As an editor, I'm constantly moving from one video to the next, sending a version I've finished to my supervisor for revision, and checking on the status of new video projects coming down the pipeline. I use monday.com to keep everyone on my team as well as other coordinating teams informed on the status of each project. It helps everyone to cut down on time spent sending individual emails, reduce[s] the need for asking questions to dozens of people to get information on each project, and provides an easy one-click option for receiving information on any task planned for in the future, currently being worked on, or archived.
- Laying information out in a clean, concise, and easy-to-understand manner.
- Giving quick and easy ways to edit information on projects to match their status.
- Saving time by turning a task that could take minutes to an hour into a page that's just one click away, and easily edited by an entire team.
- Can be a little confusing for new users, with so many facets in a single program.
- Relies heavily on the organizational skills of whoever supervises the department. Different supervisors/departments can have radically different experiences with the program.
Easy to use, does what it claims to and does it very well, allows for easy communication and project management between departments. Incorporates email updates as well, so you're always informed when a change has been made or needs to be made. Keeps everything neatly in one place and easy to access - projects you've finished, projects in progress, or projects for a later date - and makes notifying other team members of adjustments easy.
I've had very little experience with the Customer Success Manager, so I can't give it an accurate rating. I also have little experience with the 24/7 customer support. I've never had to use them before, since I've never had a technical issue with the program. Typically, any issue I come across is easily resolvable by communicating with the owner of the particular board I'm working on at the time.
Monday.com has only improved my overall workflow, and helped me to stay organized and on top of things. Everything that I have needed to use in my non-supervisory, non-management role has worked according to its claims and been very reliable and intuitive. I can easily check on monday.com to determine what my next project is, when it needs to be finished, and what my workweek will look like, without having to write it all down myself, or email various supervisors for information.

Monday.com is well suited to companies of 20+ members, particularly when those members have to constantly be in communication with each other. It excels in providing easy ways of communicating between departments, which is why for the TV/Broadcasting Company I work for, monday.com has been a necessity. It allows for everyone in every department (who has been given permission) to view, comment on, adjust the status of, and add/remove tasks, with or without deadlines. However, for smaller companies with less than 20 individuals, monday.com's usefulness lowers simply to that of a program used for keeping track of task completion and deadline. Still useful, but communication on those tasks may be just as easily fulfilled by sending a quick email for smaller groups.
