Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We use monday.com for a variety of scenarios from our Comms team tracking all of the media releases across multiple channels, to our Grants team monitoring the status of all grants, to Area Managers completing annual work plans that incorporate employee and vehicle resourcing to ensure that multiple projects can be completed in the required timeframes.
  • The help center is great with a wide range of articles and tutorial videos.
  • It is easy to pick up the basics because of the user friendly interface.
  • The different views and use of filters are great to provide specific information for different people using the same initial data set.
  • The integrations with other platforms and apps is useful.
  • The automation recipe builder could be improved as there are currently restrictions based on what the initial 'ingredient' is.
  • There is still a lot of functionality that sub items cannot be used with.
  • monday.com pays for itself in terms of the time saved for each member of staff that is fully embedded with using it (we are still training some users).
  • It has made things much easier for the exec team to get information ready for board meetings instead of having to sift through 30 odd spreadsheets.
Some of the templates that are in monday.com use third-party integrations that we don't use in the company at this time, so whilst they may be very useful down the track, we are not able to utilize them all at this stage.

That said, it was very easy to build our own templates that we can use as a starting point for all boards created in our company account.
The online help articles and training videos are great. Short and succinct, they provide a wealth of information over a broad range of topics.

The support team has always been great when we contact them as they normally get back to us within a few hours and have helped to overcome several problems that we have not been able to figure out ourselves.
We have not had any issues with downtime or features not working as they should. Occasionally, there has been a delay in some of the automation triggering the desired effect but that's normally when there are upwards of 20 on a board that is all going at once. Any issues in lag time might well be to do with our servers as much as monday.com.

monday.com is great in situations where you have a lot of initial data to input but then you want different people, or groups of people, to be able to interpret it in different ways through the use of filters, sorting, and hiding columns. It is also a great tool if people are working collaboratively on a project from different regions/countries as it includes the update section that allows people to chat about a problem or scenario that they can work through. It is also very powerful if there are standardized columns in all boards so that people at the management level can get an overview of tasks across an entire region, project, or even the whole company.

We have an enterprise account and the support service level provided in that package is more than adequate for our needs.
They helped me with a particularly complex formula that I was trying to add into our board template that populates one column based on the drop-down list selection in another column that had about 30 options in it.
