Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We use monday.com for project management, product management, and operations. Our teams use it to roadmap efforts over the coming quarters, track risks, and automate workflows.
  • Automated workflows
  • Board customization
  • Granular permissions for sensitive data
  • Ease of use
  • More robust Jira integration
  • More robust automations
  • Make the timeline column easier to use
  • Easier set up of projects
  • Time savings due to automations
  • Central location of information for specific teams
monday.com is extremely easy to use with a minimal learning curve. Board actions are intuitive, so it's easy to create columns, assign items to people and set up workflows. The dashboards are at first a little daunting, but once you create a couple of widgets, it's very easy to use as well.
monday.com has provided great support. Onboarding was super easier, and our customer success manager made herself available not only for the scheduled training sessions but also for a few 15-minute follow-ups whenever we were running into issues or had questions. When we need ongoing support, we always hear back from someone within an hour of opening a ticket. Follow-up responses are equally as fast.
monday.com's performance is good, although you get a slightly worse experience if you use the desktop app vs. the web app. The desktop app can be slower, take longer to load, and doesn't give you access to some of the features like linking a Google Drive document. These are minor annoyances though. Overall, the desktop app experience is good. Uptime is also good, for the most part. There have been two or three times over the last few months where we've noticed downtime, but all of those times were 30-45 minutes and then it was operating as expected again. This has certainly been frustrating in the moment e.g., if you are using dashboards during a meeting, but other than those instances, the app has been reliable and has performed well.

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

monday.com is great for any sort of project management, task management, and road mapping. It's easy to get organized and automate workflows to reduce manual tasks and overhead. Integrations make it easy to automatically send emails and Slack notifications. It's not great for software development, and for product development teams that use Jira. It's almost impossible to integrate because it's done at a board level and there isn't much flexibility in terms of two-way syncing.
