Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
monday.com sits perfectly in-between having a pre-built off the shelf program and building your own from scratch. It's flexible enough so you can build your products yourself without relying on external developers. And it is high level enough so it's easy to pick up and teach yourself how to use it. I am completely self-taught and have built boards that now support various teams with project management, operational flow, a Llama farm (I'm not joking, check it out). And I'm not the only one.
- Easy to pick up
- Online community
- Flexible
- Provides built-in examples
- Importing data to existing boards from outside of monday.com where there is no integration, e.g. Excel. When I try to update some field in bulk, it creates new items.
- Pricing for Enterprise is very expensive. Similar products can be found at half the price. That said, I know monday.com is certainly the best product.
- Increase in productivity
- Employee adoption - Everyone wants to use it. We have to be careful though, due to the high cost per user.
- Last night, I was told of a last minute project. I threw together a board that cover the basic project management, some of the operational aspects and reporting to management via the dashboard. Keep in mind, I threw this board together. Had I spent more time, I could have captured just about everything.
The times where monday.com has lagged have been so few and far between that each time I am surprised that it's happening. The other day we had our first proper outage (to my knowledge). It lasted 1 hour. There was no impact to the business. Quote from me: "Oh that's annoying. Never mind. I'll check back in soon".
I am early on in reviewing other providers. From what I can see, monday.com is king.
