Nintex Workflow for Sharepoint

Overall Satisfaction with Nintex Process Platform

We use it to create both automated forms for data entry and automated workflows for business process automation (both full and partial process automation).

Pros

  • Handling multiple flows in an automated manner
  • Handling various UX capabilities very well in Forms
  • Migrates easily from on-site hosting to Cloud version of Nintex

Cons

  • Pricing! Very disappointed in the new pricing model they have introduced in the last 12 months.
  • Integration to migrate forms and workflows to and from O365 tools
  • Positive in time saved (Productivity gains)
  • Positive in customer experience
  • Negative in reduced costs
It's a solid tool that is not hard to learn or deploy.
Some integration to our ERP systems and Microsoft tools such as SharePoint.
This has been critically important as our business processes span across various tools.
Nintex was selected because it was somewhat unique in its capabilities and depth/breadth of ability 7+ years ago. However, the competition has now caught up and pricing is a significant factor in whether we continue to use Nintex going forward.

Nintex can be very useful and a great means of automating entry and business processes. The problem is that the organization has significantly changed their pricing model to a "per execution" model and they almost tripled the annual cost estimate to our budget. This was very shocking and really poor approach to managing a business relationship. We are looking at other options, not so much because of the tool but because of the organization and how they are running the business.
