Overall Satisfaction with Nuxeo
Nuxeo is currently being used as a Digital Media and Asset Management system. Specifically, it is used to capture our video masters [and] create consumables of those videos as well as manage some of our other digital media assets. It is used by the Publishing Department, which creates almost all of the video and other digital assets. Some departments do still manage some of their assets independently, yet there seems to be a slow and consistent movement to Nuxeo, which is still very new in our organization. The assets under management in Nuxeo are used to represent the Church globally.
Nuxeo provides a platform that is flexible and dynamic for us. We have applied its capabilities to create more collaboration and access to our digital assets. We are able to tailor the system to do some unique things such as enrich our assets with data from other systems via integrations for Product, Rights and Project Management.

- The ability to round-trip the actual data with the content model from Studio in a visual way
- The ability to decompile complex multi-valued fields so the contents can be used in a filter
- Nuxeo has eliminated the need for other third-party file hosting
- Nuxeo has added value by flexing to our unique business needs so we can add more value to accomplishing our business objectives with more efficiency
- Nuxeo has enriched our assets by allowing us to avoid duplicating data entry by leveraging integrations to other systems that "own" that data related to our assets.
Nuxeo is far and away more flexible and mature for managing digital assets than the others. It was chosen as a platform that would allow us to work as we need to without starting from scratch and leverage reusable code modules and other best practices.
