Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

We use Dyn DNS for our external DNS for all of our sites. We use Dyn for DNS for any of the IPs we host, and our sites hosted by other providers.
  • Fantastic communication with any outages or maintenance.
  • Fast DNS response time across the globe!
  • Fantastically easy to use.
  • Very good protection for any DDOS attacks, or other malicious events.
  • Dyn has a very good user interface, the only room for improvement would be a guided walk-through for some of the more complex DNS functions (ie. DNS security record options).
  • Ease of use, management is very simple, and quick, the labor cost for someone to manage is very low.
  • The speed and security of hosted DNS cannot be beat!
I had in the past used DNS provided by the ISP I was using for internet. To change a record with them, normally involved a service request to there NOC team, and up to 48 hours for them to make then change. This caused a lot of issues during product go-lives where being nimble with your DNS records is very important.
Any request I have had with Dyn has been filled with a timely manor. There staff is more than happy to walk you thought even the most basic setups.
The management section for hosted DNS is very easy to use, and straight forward. They give you many ways to adjust your records, so you can pick the way you are more comfortable with.
It is fantastic for any externally hosted DNS application. They provide excellent security against malicious queries, from known bad DNS records your users could be trying to get to, to protection for our own DNS hosting.
