Overall Satisfaction with Palo Alto Networks Advanced URL Filtering
PA Advanced URL filtering is an essential module. I would say 'a must have' feature.
the idea is the same similar to any web filter but with more detailed categories and filters.
Ability to block URLs and applications with complete visibility and flexibility.
It is also user-friendly and easy to manage and doesn't require any special expertise to manage.
Since our users majority are Students, We use PA advanced URL filtering to protect our Internet traffic and Network from malicious attacks and bad content and also to force the Internet usage policy.

Palo Alto is a much much better product. detailed options and controls, more visibility, and usability.

Yes - Broadcom Bluecoat SG. Bluecoat got sold several times between vendors and lost its credibility and reputation. Renewal prices were increased in an unreasonable way. support got worse. Broadcom basically lost interest in the products and made it worse after the migration. local sales reps were unsupportive.

Palo Alto's reputation is one of the factors, it is considered to be the top firewall appliance in the market.
Our former vendor "Broadcom Bluecoat" didn't meet our expectations after the acquisition.
