Overall Satisfaction with PanTerra Streams
We use PanTerra's VOIP for all of our telephone communications including customer service. Their system provides us with inbound call handling through the use of schedules for open hours during business days and varying messages for times we are closed. Also nice to have the software direct call forwarding and customer and vendor messaging.
Pros
- Cost effective solution
- Less complex software than other systems
- Responsive customer support
Cons
- Software is not as customer friendly as other similar providers
- Some simple processes are overly complex
- Billing is confusing
- Equal or improved reliability over other providers
- Lower monthly operating cost
- Easy onboarding compared to all other VOIP providers we have used
This was more of a lateral move for us. We've used VOIP for our phone communications for a lot of years. The cost savings are what made the decision. We do not use their file sharing or messaging capabilities at this time as we do those tasks through other systems.

OOMA has a very good software, but their monthly cost was steadily rising. They didn't offer any incentives until we left them. Liked their service well enough, but not their price.
8X8 gave us a lot of issues with buggy software and unreliable service. They also had issues with continually rising costs.
TPX Communications was bad news. Once we were into the contract, they did not provide most of what was in the initial quotation and nickle and dimed us for everything. Our bill soon ballooned to an unreal cost. They refused to allow us to discontinue the service and we were finally forced to do a stop payment to prevent further charges. Software was horribly complex to the degree that their own engineers couldn't make it work. Steer clear of them.
