Parallels desktop is installed for selected individuals using Mac computers and who also need to have access to software that is only developed for Windows OS (or in some instances that the Windows version is much more powerful than the Mac OS version).

Primarily these users are running SAP software in the Parallels partition, using the rest of their software in the Mac OS.

The "Coherence" option allows for seamless user interface integration with Mac OS
Sharing files across the different partitions is transparent for the user

Main two features that made the balance decission go to the Parallels Desktop were the possibility to pause the Windows partition easily (allowing to consume less resources in Mac and save battery) and the other one is the user interface feature called "Coherence" with allows you to show the Windows application windows as if they were native to the macOS, allowing for a better user experience.

Parellels is a very easy solution to run non mac software on Mac computers with seamless integration. Easy to install and run, any user with basic skills can take care of the whole process.

Multiple screens are supported, sharing files across OS, rebooting, opening windows apps directly from the macOS, very good software. You forget about it once is running.
