Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for our HRIS system. This includes employee information, onboarding, terminating, benefits enrollment, payroll, etc.
  • Creating new employees and the onboarding process.
  • Updating employee information.
  • Linking benefits to payroll.
  • It is very hard to run reports. THe reporting section is not clear and not user friendly.
  • Paylocity COBRA is a feature that is extremely hard to use and poor customer service.
  • Functionality can be different depending on what page you are on in Paylocity. It should all be consistent and uniform.
  • Reduced time for onboarding, and entering employee information.
  • Less errors and more consistent processes.
  • Data (if you can find the right report).
  • Efficiency with the file feeds to external sites.
I don't have a lot of experience in this section of Paylocity. I do believe, though, that our payroll team finds the payroll process automated and efficient.
We don't use those tools yet, but it is something we will look into. The only tool above that we use is Impressions, and that is something that is used a lot and encouraged a lot within our company. It is an excellent way to recognize your peers and also notify their direct manager of the praise and support. We have our own intranet so don't use Community.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Paylocity is well suited for onboarding, keeping employee data, payroll, communication with carrier sites, payroll updates, timekeeping, adding holidays, and hosting our employee handbook. I wish that the reporting were easier to use; I find it hard to run reports on specific information that is located and housed in Paylocity. Submitting time cards and those approvals are easy. I think that some of the items/procedures our company has don't match up exactly with how Paylocity is set up.
