Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is being used by the entire company to run and manage projects as well as various maintenance contracts. The software is primarily designed to run projects, however, we have created a process to utilize it for maintenance contracts with great success. All of the clients are happy with the outcome.
  • Procore is exceptional at tracking cost on your projects. From subcontractor invoices to invoicing the clients, it can track everything from start to finish. It prevents subcontractors from invoicing above their contract values and ensuring all variations are captured.
  • We now have an extensive library of photos for all our projects. All are easy to access/share, ranging from progress photos, certification inspections, defects, and dilapidation reports.
  • Tracking of daily data. The site diary filled out by the supervisor creates valuable data recordings. All up to date site progress, man-hours worked by all trades, waste logs and issues are sent to me to review at the end of each day. This gives a greater understanding of how all of my projects are progressing.
  • It would be beneficial if you were able to skip some steps in the Variation process as this can sometimes be cumbersome and time-consuming.
  • The existing Equipment Register. I personally really need a global equipment register for the company. A place where all company equipment can be tracked and where all maintenance records are kept for the equipment. If a supervisor has one of my Bobcats on his site, he selects that item from the global register and then it is added to his project. If my mechanic is looking for that Bobcat so he can perform scheduled maintenance, he looks in the global register and will know what site the machine is at.
  • Tenders/Bids require an easier way to forward Addendum's when information has changed on a project. Currently, you must send this out in each bid package individually. It would be beneficial if you could bulk action email to all bid packages.
We have only used Procore.
We have had a lot of issues with clients and subcontractors not wanting to utilize the software in the past but this is progressively getting better. Procore is becoming more common in the industry in Darwin. Those that have used the software have had positive feedback.
  • We have saved on paper as all our job sheets are now electronic.
  • We have saved time when dispatching reactive maintenance attendance times as the jobs are now instantly sent out to the staff.
  • Procore has saved us money by ensuring all variations are tracked and invoiced. Also by catching subcontractor invoicing above their quoted amounts.
  • Gain visibility into projects
  • Ensure information is accessible and up to date
  • Document job site conditions
  • Report on incidents and inspections
  • Identify job site risks
  • Track cost impacts from the field
  • Streamline financial reporting
  • Improve forecast accuracy
  • Simplify employee time tracking
Procore helps track all of the above information. For it to excel, you must ensure you are inputting the information. It will only work if you are making sure it is used correctly. It is a platform with everything you need but you only get out what you put into it.
Our company had never utilized a software package before so it was a steep learning curve. In the end, it was well worth it once we got the staff on board. We had to train some employees on how to use a smartphone so they could use Procore.
Procore is tailor-made for running projects and excels in this space. We have utilized it for maintenance as well, rather than utilizing two different software packages. It completes this task but it is not its intended purpose, leaving a little to be desired. However, it still functions very well as a project manager.
