Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We are using Procore to help manage civil and state projects as well as our service jobs. We utilize Procore to manage our bigger multi-million dollar projects as well as our smaller service plumbing jobs. Procore helps the company keep all our information centrally located and easily accessible from either in the office or out in the field. Before we were using various software for our daily logs (Raken) and various other software for project management. Procore has given us the ability to do everything we were doing before but from one centralized platform, making it easier to keep track of our projects.
  • Streamlined our transmittal and submittals process.
  • Documents tool has been especially handy being able to keep all our documentation in one location that is accessible from either PC or mobile pretty much anywhere you have an internet connection.
  • The Procore Sync tool is very handy, but it seems to be very buggy. We have had numerous issues with someone uploading documents to Procore Sync and other users not being able to see the uploaded documents right away. We sometimes have to go through a cumbersome process of going to the job, configuring settings, updating settings. And having to do this on both the uploader and receivers side. Hoping to see some improvement here on this issue in the near future.
  • When adding new users to a project, it sometimes takes 5-10 minutes (sometimes a bit longer) for the project to show up inside the user's Procore app on their iPad. It gets annoying when I am trying to add a new user and give them a briefing of how the app works and operates. I often have to have them sit in my office for 10 minutes constantly refreshing the app until the job appears.
  • Saved us money on document control and keeping. Before we were utilizing our own Network drives for document storage which was only accessible through the office or VPN connection. The Documents tool and Procore Sync have eliminated our need for our project network drives. (Saves us money in hardware, time spent maintaining equipment).
  • Unlimited photo storage, we can upload as man project photos as our heart's desire. Not having to maintain our own storage systems for this has definitely saved us time and money.
The main accounting software we use (Sage 100) integrates nicely with Procore. We are able to import various types of data such as cost codes, cost types, sub-jobs, companies, budgets, and costs. The ability to import all this information from Sage 100 over into Procore has saved us a lot of time and man-hours.
So far we have had good feedback about the daily logs tool. Before we were utilizing Raken, but this daily logs tool through Procore works a lot in a similar way. We love how the weather is automatically added to each log without us having to do anything. Since it's similar to Raken, there hasn't been much of a learning curve which is good for our field guys who aren't so susceptible to change.
Procore has given us the functionality and tools from multiple different products and centralized it all onto one platform. Thus making it 110% better for managing projects and keeping everyone on the same page. Won't be long until Procore is just about the only product we use, aside from our accounting software.
Procore is great for keeping all areas of the construction process updated from within the office to the field. It's great for general contractors as well as subcontractors. You can easily add other companies to your projects without them necessarily needing a license for Procore themselves. It also integrates with our accounting software (Sage 100) which has been a big helper. I think Procore is great for mid-sized companies that handle a lot of really large projects.
