We have a legacy antiquated ERP system that does not work well with other systems, so despite attempts we don't have ODBC connectors with Prophix. But we are migrating to a Microsoft platform using Dynamics and Great Plains, which we believe will allow Prophix to import data much easier.
We are migrating most of our systems to the cloud so it is important. Currently, we are using Prophix 100% on premise.
Prophix was here when I began my employment here, so other alternatives were not seriously considered. Going forward we may consider Power BI, but we still need Prophix for budgeting. We may consider Management Reporter or its replacement, but we have not researched this as of yet.
