Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base

QuickvBase is being used for project management and asset management. It is being used across departments (but not across the whole company). It solved the business problems of sending information about assets to our customer facing systems. It also provides project management and time tracking for content development work. We are able to do extensive reporting on assets as well as projects.
  • Flexibility to build out the fields and tables needed for your specific business case - allows you to make it what you need
  • Dynamic reporting - the dynamic filters on the left of the reports allow you to quickly filter and see different subsets of data
  • Ease of building - easy to build out new tables, relate them together, as changes are needed
  • Table to table relationships - would be preferable to be able to make a 1 to 1 relationship
  • Cannot easily move tables between applications and keep relationships between those tables
  • User roles - can be confusing how to control which users can have access to which portions of the application
Yes - we have a highly customized application that is tailored to our needs. We've gotten here over years of work and building within Quick Base.
I was not involved in the process of selecting Quick Base.
The level of difficulty for citizen developers depends on the complexity of the application you want built. With some understanding of relational databases and how your data connects across tables, you can build applications. QB provides support as needed. With more complex applications, I have needed assistance from IT for maintenance and some of the more complex triggers/back end processes.
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
Yes - we do all of our reporting on our assets from Quick Base. We use Quick Base to collaborate across teams and departments in help drive business processes. Quick Base has supported our specific business challenges with minor limitations. We have no problems building and deploying applications.
I have not had to update a QB developed application.
Good for when you want to architect your entire database and have relationships but don't have the experience to build all back end. QB can provide good user interfaces but could be improved in customizations for the UI. QB has more advanced features if you have more experience but has been actively working to make those advanced features more approachable to citizen developers.
