Good for small businesses; not for higher education industry
Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online Advanced
QuickBooks Online Advanced is only used in the business office department. It has helped us with recording the transactions of the institution. Budgeting and forecasting is a key ingredient of the product, but significant training is needed to master the system and pull the data that is critical to my institution.
Pros
- Forecasting
- Key performance indicators
- Budgeting
Cons
- QuickBooks Online Advanced does not provide enough training to master the system
- The pre-recorded videos are good, but you must have time to sit and watch them before application
- QuickBooks Online Advanced is fairly inexpensive, thus it provides great ROI for what it does.
It took about two weeks to get fully operational with QuickBooks Online Advanced. The customer service representative did not communicate well with the technical team. We had a few emails back and forth because I did not have the necessary access in a timely manner. Finally, at the end of two weeks, I was up and running, but I did not like the self-paced training modules. I would prefer to sit in a live two-hour training.
I love the cloud-based advantage. I can work from anywhere and the information in the system is the same. We do not have multiple locations, thus QuickBooks Online Advanced is mostly used in office or at home.
QuickBooks Online Advanced is a temporary fix to our industry needs. We will move on to something more robust later this year.
QuickBooks Online Advanced falls short when compared to Microsoft Dynamics SL, but it is far superior to the financial module in Blackbaud CRM.
