Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT
Raiser's Edge NXT is being used by the foundation team, mainly by the major gift officer and annual giving officer. The software helps us surface actions for lapsing donors, determine greater capacity to give, and have easy cloud access across geographies.
- Raiser's Edge NXT provides a dashboard to alert me to what donors need attention. This enables us to make sure donors don't slip through the cracks based on data driven algorithms.
- Raiser's Edge NXT provides wealth information and ratings that help direct staff on how to cultivate new revenue through moves management.
- Raiser's Edge NXT provides a simplified list building module. My major gift officer does not know how to run queries or reports in the database view, but he can easily self-service for simple lists in NXT.
- Raiser's Edge NXT is not yet a one-stop-shop. It is sometimes burdensome to jump back and forth between database and NXT view.
- Raiser's Edge NXT provides attribute-type tags for the web view, but they are not yet customizable. This creates some limitations to what I can track in the web view versus database view.
- There is not yet robust, case-study style training for RE NXT. There are very simple videos and very complex live sessions, but not great training options for the middle users.

- Reduced IT expenditure due to cloud deployment
We have reduced IT expenditures by eliminating hardware upkeep costs. We have found ways to increase revenue from existing donors, but have not directly correlated revenue from new donors because of NXT. Finally, the cloud is an operationally efficient way to work, especially for my mobile major gift officer.
As a long time Blackbaud client, we appreciate the connected nature of products and actively use Raiser's Edge, Online Express, ResearchPoint, and Blackbaud Merchant Services to appreciate the seamless flow of information. We find that the network of other Blackbaud users is a valuable resource for best practices and provides common industry language. We have benefited especially from in class training with the Learn Everything subscription.
