Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Sage Intact as our daily General Ledger System. We use several other aviation software systems and upload the revenue/cgs into Sage from those systems. The dimensions allow us to create reports for our different department executives. We can look at our business by location/department/tail number and even down to a single trip using the dimension tools. The budgeting tools are exceptional and allow us to plan and make changes in time to make a difference.

This one is tricky. As we have seen great improvement using this system for insight and being able to make decisions, the business market is tough.

Sage Intacct Automation

We import AP bills and are currently working with a Vendor to supply our bills in csv format so we can upload it straight into Sage Intact. We currently import our AR invoices and AR payments from our FBO and flight school software systems. We import Payroll Journal entries from Paycom. We utilize this feature with several different software systems into Sage. This feature is a time saver.

Sage Intacct Extensibility

We do not currently use these features.

Sage Intacct Configuration

Sage walked us through this process and it was seamless. They allowed us to try out different modules in a "sandbox" to insure we were comfortable before we went live.

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise

We had Quickbooks prior to Sage Intact. We outgrew Quickbooks and needed the more robust system. The biggest selling feature that caused us to change was the dimension and reporting features in Sage Intact.

As stated before, Sage allows us to be able to create reports specific to our executives and department heads using the dimensions structure and reporting tools. We are able to dissect our business by dimensions that we were never able to with other systems. We can look at our business by location and every department in a specific location. We can also look at our business by department and every location in that department. We can get as granular as to look at what impact a specific tail number made or even whether or not a specific trip was profitable. Sage is continually working to make improvements to the different features.
