Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct daily to record daily receipts and refunds, which are used to reconcile our bank accounts. Daily and monthly journal entries are posted as part of the consolidation for our multi-company setup. Payments are received against invoices entered for AR. Checks and electronic payments are recorded against AP bills entered into the system.
  • Consolidation of multiple companies to the top level for financial reporting.
  • Helpful tips and tricks on most screens to walk you through the steps.
  • Creating custom reports, without training or much research, has been relatively easy!
  • Intercompany entries: during implementation, automatic intercompany entries were not a priority, but they should have been. We have to create an AR Advance and an AP Advance to transfer funds between accounts. I've worked with other software (NetSuite) that allows you to create one side and click a button to auto-create the opposite intercompany side, saving valuable time and less room for error.
  • The attachment function is great, but if you want to use it in different companies, you have to create a JE at the top level, add an attachment, save it, then cancel the JE, then you will be able to use the attachment in multiple companies.
  • Sage Intacct help ticketing community is slow to resolve (known) issues.
  • It has helped us consolidate multiple entities quicker to provide financials sooner.
  • Our bank reconciliation process is very slow; when we first implemented Sage Intacct, automated bank transactions were not a priority and the process is now cumbersome and filled with user errors.
  • The multiple entries required to post one intercompany entry is cumbersome and is easily met with user errors.
Our organization does not take advantage of any of the automated processes listed above. We are discussing using the purchase order management to better track our claim management process.
We have not used any of these financial capabilities that can be extended with more advanced modules like multi-entity and global consolidations, project accounting, time and expense management, contract revenue management and spend management.
I did not work for the company when the Sage Intacct was configured.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

We use MineralTree as a third-party accounts payable integration for some of our entities. We use Expensify as a third-party expense integration for our main entity.
Sage Intacct is well suited for our Finance and Accounting team. However, Sage Intacct is not well suited for our business niche of mass invoicing customers, receiving electronic payments, recording notes, and keeping customer records.
