Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

My team and I use SAP analytics cloud to analyze bulk of CRM data, create segmentation and automated workflows for decision making. With Cloud Analytics, we can generate insights from sales data at a daily, monthly and even quarterly cadence. We can even create the mandates for sales team basis their performance throughout the funnel basis their lead data.

  • The mobile app could be faster & lighter. Currently it hangs often while loading dashboards.
  • It takes some time to get accustomed to a new peson. The training modules are not very informative.
  • Difficult to integrate with existing legacy systems.

While the platform itself is great, I deducted 3 points only because of the learning curve it has. A newly hired sales person finds it very tricky to navigate, and needs specialized training from team members to be able to get it up and working on their phone and see all the custom dashboards.

The single most important factor is the use-from-anywhere aspect since it can be accessed on the mobile. This allows us to send multiple cuts of data to sales team on the fly. Since the data is real time and automated basis a workflow, we can ensure that the sales team is always acting on the most recent data.

Well suited for distributed access control wherein you need to give a dashboard to individual sales team members, especially for target vs achievement incentivization schemes. The team can see live tracking data on top of custom dashboard to monitor & act at all times.
It is less appropriate for custom querying and aggregation.
