Overall Satisfaction with SAP Ariba Procurement

Ariba is being implemented in the whole organization for the past years, and will take at least a couple more years until the implementation is done. We're using almost all modules of Ariba, as the main goal is to increase digitalization in Procurement and integrate with SAP (and SAP4HANA in the future) as much as possible.
  • Integration with SAP for RfX and updates of Info Record prices (Product Sourcing).
  • Integration of catalogues (Buying) and contract terms (Sourcing & Contracts) to facilitate the end user experience.
  • Flexibility to adjust tasks in Sourcing & Contracts projects.
  • Integration with DocuSign for digital signatures.
  • Better integration across modules: risk module is not useful because it's not integrated with SLP.
  • Supplier Performance Evaluation features need better automation for larger organizations.
  • Sourcing & Contracting module needs update so it becomes as user friendly as Buying.
  • Positive impact on contract compliance and traceability.
  • Positive impact on promoting different negotiation levers with the Sourcing module.
  • Positive impact with automation of Infor Records (Product Sourcing).
  • Negative impact on trainings and user experience: tool is not user friendly enough, so we spend a lot of internal resources with trainings and clarification meetings.
BravoAdvantage is much easier to manage when it comes to user licenses, and therefore cheaper. The user interface is also better.
However Ariba is better integrated with SAP.
It's a good tool, and the current integration with SAP gives more transparency and traceability for the business.
However there's still a long road to make it more user-friendly and applicable for very large companies, where we need flexible scenarios and fast adaptation to multiple processes.
On average, it takes a long time (2-4 months) to get issues resolved and can take multiple meetings to clarify the problem before the Customer Support team starts working on it.
On a positive note, we do feel a lot of openness from team.

Yes

No

No

Would you buy SAP Ariba again?

Even though Ariba doesn't solve all issues that we'd like when we think of digitalization of supply chain/procurement, it's still a good tool with large coverage of features and functionalities that can improve drastically how a company operates.
