Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business One
We worked with a certified reseller of SAP B1 trying to adjust the solution to small companies' needs. As a developer, I also used it to provide informative reports via the reporting module that provides many options and is really customizable. The system provides a centralized point of reference for all the company data with great documentation so once a user gets familiar with the database fields, it is easy to look for all the information needed in a single source.
Pros
- Customized Reports to fit the companies' special configuration and needs.
- Individual interfaces for many aspects of the business; manufacturing, inventory, sales, distribution, service, etc. Each department can have its own space.
- All the modules are connected and can interact with one another.
Cons
- Not the cheapest price option, especially for a small-sized business.
- Too many options for small businesses, a lot of modules remain unused
- Not enough infrastructure for project planning
- Bring automation to companies that overspend on manual data entry
- Great Reporting and Logging
- Effective communication between different departments
SAP provides the most robust solution, with modules available for all department managers and even options for customization according to the company's special needs. We especially used the Crystal reports options to provide reports for each module. Overall, even if it's not the least expensive option, it has the best value for money.
