Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business (formerly Lync)
Skype for Business (formerly Lync) was being used on occasion for quick meetings. We enjoyed the easy-to-navigate user interface. If only our wifi was strong at the time of use. If you are looking for a great video conferencing tool that allows you to chat during calls and again the ease of use was a major selling point.
- Group chat during conferences to keep from interrupting the flow of the meeting.
- Ability to use MS Office Applications and collaborate as you move through the meeting when needed. Especially helpful when building manuals.
- Cell phone interface for chat makes it so much easier to have your meeting anywhere you are able to connect to the internet.
- Skype has come a long way and all the improvements make me feel that there isn't a need to use any other program. Unless...almost forgot...if you have really low RAM on your laptop it can cause some programs to slow down. Not a fault of Skype...more an internal tools issue.
- Do not have access to the data for this question.
AnyMeeting was used at a prior employer and it felt a bit limited. Not sure of the changes to the software and integrations if they match up to Skype. I myself prefer Skype over AnyMeeting due to personal comparison and all the bells and whistles that Skype for Business offered us.
