Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
It is being used by our engineering and support departments. It provides monitoring for our infrastructure.

- Scalable - Capable of managing ten devices or ten-thousand
- Inconsistent reliability
- Support is horrible and ineffective
- Expensive licensing
- Overall, it provided decent network monitoring without significant initial configuration.

SolarWinds is an old, outdated codebase. It is sluggish and difficult to work with for the most part. It is very easy to set up initially and maintain if you have a small or simple network. I would recommend a combination of ELK stack and a time series metric recorder instead.
