Overall Satisfaction with StarWind Virtual SAN

StarWind support, pre-sales, and communication overall is always excellent. They work closely with us throughout the implementations and post-implementation process to ensure we consistently deliver a quality solution to our clients.

When our previous vendor for virtual SAN chose to leave the marketplace they offered us a hyperconverged solutions that was well outside the grasp of many of our clients and hence our relationship with StarWind was developed. We evaluated a number of solutions and StarWind was the winner from ease of use to support we felt comfortable making them our go-to vendor for vSAN related solutions.
  • Support is second to none.
  • Simplicity of design and deployment is some of the best out there.
  • Responsiveness of the organization is excellent
  • Support can be inconsistent. Many times different engineers have different ways of doing things. They're all technically correct but create confusion.
  • StarWind has enabled us to deploy vSAN solutions that are not limited by space but by node which has enabled a more consistent deliverable to our clients.
The level of confidence and support within the StarWind organization is second to none.
We were initially utilizing HPE Lefthand OS as a virtual SAN which was then set to EOL. We evaluated a number of solutions including VMware vSAN and settled on StarWind. StarWind provided a better value, easier and more intuitive interface, and wasn't wizard driven.

StarWind fits extremely well in an environment with limited resources and cost is a strong driving force. StarWind does not fit well within organizations that do not need an HA environment.
