  • high responsiveness
  • accessibility for applicants
I am not a big technology person, but I find Submittable pretty easy to use. The interface is simple and clear. A few things are less intuitive, but I've been able to make it work. I've been able to give a number of my co-workers a tour of Submittable, which is great considering I'm not usually the more tech savvy person on my team.
The Submittable portal is easy to talk to grantees on, which makes it more likely that I'll keep up with them on a regular basis. I also appreciate that when they email you in the portal, it send a message to your work email, which you can reply to directly. That way I don't have to be constantly going back and forth between the platform and my work email.
I selected Submittable because I had used it in the past as an applicant for a different program, and I found it easy to use from that perspective. I met with other companies and did a comparative analysis and Submittable was the most user friendly and also the most affordable option. I'm happy we ended up choosing them.

Did implementation of Submittable go as expected?

Would you buy Submittable again?

Yes

Submittable is great if you have a manageably-sized program that you're looking to manage submissions for. They gave us a discount as a non-profit and were always personable in their interactions. If you have a program with a very large volume of submissions, it may be more difficult to use, especially if you need to manage a lot of different programs at once.
