Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Desktop

Tableau dashboards are being created to track marketing efforts and high-level summary views of impact for the organization for both senior level leadership discussions and for front line individual contributor to identify specific areas to focus improvement efforts.
  • Flexibility of views
  • Easy to learn - intuitive
  • Variations in visualizations
  • Connection to big data/Hadoop
  • One too many data points between two table joins
Tableau was easy to find people that had the skill set and a company server was already available.
Appropriate for visualizations for dashboard summary views but not great for multiple row display. Minimal statistical capabilities compared to [tools] like Domo.
