Overall Satisfaction with The Raiser's Edge

It is being used for donor management, and is used mainly by volunteers and a membership coordinator. It is also used to keep track of donor information, gifts, and sometimes to group people by location for canvassing purposes.
  • I like how you can link constituents to organizations.
  • If you're adding similar constituents (i.e. council members, aldermen) with similar titles, the program continues to ask if you are asking a duplicate and does not learn or provide an option to ignore the box that pops up. This ends up taking a lot of time to go through and click every single possible duplicate.
  • Not sure, I use it mostly as a volunteer.
  • Microsoft Access,MS SharePoint / SQL
I was not the decisionmaker
It's not my decision to make but honestly I would probably create a database in Access before using The Raiser's Edge.
I think it's most useful if you don't know much about databases. I am not familiar with the customizable features so it is possible there is more to it that I'm not yet familiar with.
