Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use it to integrate ms CRM 2016 with Hubspot. And we run a few other update jobs in CRM.

Pros and Cons

Connector towards Hubspot and MS CRM works good for Scribe.
Incremental updates based off last run date.
Building blocks in Scribe work fine.

Annoying lockout of webapp during development.
Error handling is not so informative.
Help and support info is not the best.
Functions, lookups and more technical features are not as good as SSIS.

Return on Investment

Easy to update scripts using GUI.
Somewhat false-positive error messages through email. I get a lot of "garbage" from the engine.
Many reports through email about updates or maintenance.

Business Processes Supported

Updating and inserting records between apps.
Add hoc updates.
Useful if cloud app, if you can't make Onprem SQL updates any longer.

Alternatives Considered

SQL Server Integration Services and COZYROC

Scribe would be easier to use for a non-technical user and perhaps support from vendors might be easier. For complexity, I would use the other tools.

TIBCO Cloud Integration Impact

It was recommended by Hubspot at the time. It has helped with updates in real-time in our CRM application. It gets the job done.

Lessons for Success

It is easy to use and with a GUI that like excel has similar functions and with a great many connectors. If integrating with cloud apps I would strongly recommend using this tool.

It will work connecting to apps like Hubspot. Becomes more crucial if used in a cloud environment. Scribe had many APIs and can support a lot of applications integrating data. If a user doesn't like building rest API and would like a more GUI-like approach then Scribe should be considered as a support tool.

Cloud integration tool with many connectors and no programming expertise needed.
