Overall Satisfaction with Tidal Automation
We have recently migrated our data center to Azure, to save the cost on VM we are using Azure Adapter which is much beneficial to reduce the cost of VM's which is used by development team to deallocate or shutdown during weekend and take snapshot of the VM's .
It helped us to centralize monitoring of all systems and also send report of critical jobs. With tidal Automation new features we have integrated it with ServiceNow which will create incident automatically and update notes based on action taken on the job.

Pros
- Compare to other automation tool Tidal Automation is simple and easy to create complex task to easy way
- SAP adapter is very good for creation of SAP jobs which will run at SAP server level and to take action on jobs
Cons
- Tidal automation have to improve on performance once scheduled jobs are more than 45K jobs
- Dependency of file to pick either file name (if any one file is present to met with dependency ) and run the job
- Positive impact i would say it help to centralize the monitoring
- Negative not seen anything
compare to Control-M , Tidal automation is much better in way of job creation and maintained . Installation of Agent and Adapter configuration , API features which can automate the Task of scheduling and creation . we have both GUI and CLI to maintain the jobs and admin work. Faulty monitor helps to monitor both primary and backup master for any fail over .
