Overall Satisfaction with Tipalti

Tipalti is used for the coding, approval, and payment of almost all our supplier invoices. It is integrated with JIRA, which we use as our procurement system, to allow invoices to be matched to POs, and integrated with our ERP system such that all approved invoices and payments sync automatically.

Pros

  • The user interface is really clear and easy to use
  • Reporting is simple and completely configurable
  • Invoice audit trail is really helpful for understanding the reasons for any delays

Cons

  • OCR does not always work as it should, requiring manual intervention
  • Payments module significantly reduced the time we were spending setting up online banking payments
  • Improved % of on time payments with automated approval flow
Usability is really one of the best things about Tipalti for me. It is very intuitive to use, the menus are clear and well laid out, and it takes seconds to find an invoice and understand its entire history. We added the payments module only a few months ago, and it has made a huge difference to our efficiency. The whole process now flows nicely right from invoice receipt to cash in the vendor's bank account.
I was not at the company prior to Tipalti being introduced, but if I compare it to how open invoices were handled at my previous company it is night and day. No back and forth, chasing for approvals, and having to trawl through reams of emails to work out where an invoice had gone. The reporting is great too so we can track easily how we are doing.

Tipalti works incredibly well for us. I'm not sure how it would cope in a manufacturing environment, for example, but for a tech company like ours dealing only with services, it is ideal. The user experience is really good, downtime hardly ever happens, we haven't come across any bugs, and we have really great visibility of exactly where an invoice is sitting in the process, and also where it has been through the invaluable 'Bill audit' function. Payments go off smoothly, the support team is responsive and helpful, and the integrations make our lives much easier.
