Symphonic is a music distribution company and we have thousands of clients that we distribute music for. Our clients earn royalties and we have to pay out royalties to our clients. We have clients from all around the world and we needed a payment system to be able to make international payments. We also have vendors located around the world and we needed to pay them as well.

- For international clients, it would be helpful to have the tax forms translated into various languages.
- For invoices, it would be helpful to be able to search for and see invoice numbers, not the "Bill Ref code".
- For invoices, it would be nice if it pre-populated the descriptions used from the prior month.
- When there is a returned payment in the following period, Tipalti does not create an entry for the returned payment, which makes reconciling difficult.
- We have taken away the manual process of sending out payments via various methods (PayPal, wires, checks, ACH, etc.) ourselves and now just send the bill directly to Tipalti which handles all the payments. This saves employees' time.
- The onboarding process is much more streamlined since Tipalti collects all of the tax form information.
- Our clients appreciate the transparency of the processing fee costs and getting emails when payments are sent.
- Better security for our clients as they get an email alert when there are changes to the account and sensitive information is kept secure.
Since the payment side is pretty automated, it cuts down on employee work. The onboarding process is easy as the system collects all of the necessary information to be able to pay the client and collect tax info. Since approvals get sent via email to employees, it makes the process very easy to approve bills. Accountants have more time to do research or other tasks instead of getting bogged down with payments. Also, it's easy to find payment information which assists in handling our own Helpdesk tickets from our clients.
