The time saved on invoice entry is significant as manual keying is limited. Invoices appear ready to be coded, often with many details prepopulated.
In terms of approvals, I have worked in businesses where invoices are sent out for to budget owners via email, forgotten about, and only actioned when a grumpy vendor contacts the Finance department complaining that they haven't been paid. Using Tipalti allows the invoice status to be tracked, and approvers get daily reminders to ensure they are not forgotten about. Regarding payment processing, before using Tipalti's global payments solution we used to set up all of our payments manually in the bank, which took an age both to do and to approve. Now making payments is as simple as clicking a few buttons.

Our accounts payable clerk gained approximately two days each month because of the efficiency of Tipalti's system, freeing her to do more analytical work and spend more time reviewing for accuracy. Formerly, our approval system was routing invoices through email which allowed for invoice payment getting missed and overall poor organization. Now the only invoices that we miss are ones that were never sent!

Tipalti has made the vendor onboarding process more efficient by allowing vendors to control their own information; approval workflow process by allowing users to approve invoices from the email and the payment process more efficient by funding our clearing accounts based on our payment runs and taking out the process of manually funding our accounts.

We were finding that our purchase to pay cycle was taking an incredible amount of staffs time and also had some control weaknesses. By introducing Tipalti which allows us to process all invoices and then pay them, we are now only using one platform to do this rather than multiple modules in NetSuite and the bank which we found very time consuming. Tipalti also synchronises all data to NetSuite, reducing our invoice and bank matching processing time. By introducing these time savings we have been able to reduce headcount which has more than paid for the implementation of Tipalti. The director's are also happy as we now have a stronger control environment in place over the purchase to pay cycle.

Overall improvement in the workflow and hence time taken by all parties involved in the process. As a result, focus has been enabled to other initiatives. Improving the Accounts Payable process is no longer a focus area in our enterprise. Suppliers are, however, not using the solution directly, but indirectly by sending emails to a shared mailbox, which in turn is scanned by Tipalti.

Tipalti improves efficiency in both uploading invoices, routing for approvals, and ultimately payments.
The email approvals are great tool that provides efficiency and simplicity. This allows the approver to approve in the email, vs logging into Tipalti, which is a great benefit to the end users.
Supplier onboarding is typically very easy for both myself, and the new vendors.
The bill audit has been very helpful in the sense of tracking various items. It is great that it logs every action!

Tipalti has helped us save time with recording invoice records and payment transactions and allowed more time during month-close to perform other analyses such as completeness checks. Tipalti has also helped manage approval workflows in one place, which has reduced time spent digging through emails or looking for file attachments.

This platform has saved us time on coding invoices because the OCR learns over time how invoices are coded. It saves staff time for approving because they don't have to log in to a separate platform. The finance team can easily re-send reminders to staff who haven't approved their invoices.

The system has automated the way we receive invoices from vendors, how we approve and how we view the dollar amounts that are being spent on different functions within the business. <br><br>The system has also helped us eliminate confusing and risky forms of communication. We previously sent many invoices via email and slack and frequently had issues of making sure it made its way to AP. This system has streamlined all of the process.

In our old system, we could only send an invoice to one approver. In Tipalti, you can create your own rules and indicate what criteria must be met in order to add additional approvers. You can also select if the vendor is a Purchase Order vendor or if invoices can be processed without a Purchase Order. Instead of having to look at our Purchase Order in Excel to determine if a purchase is valid, Tipalti can check if a PO is still valid, open (in process of being approved), or closed. The PO system will also determine if it is the budget and provide details on what is left in your PO's balance. We did not have a way to easily determine if there was any balance on a PO through our previous method. Tipalti's process saves time from having to research if the PO has met its limit or not. Also, a payment cannot be released for an invoice until the vendor has met the specific criteria (payment address, payment type, and if there is a Federal ID # in the system).

The automation of precoding invoices has saved our department a lot of time. The fields that typically are auto-filled are the expense accounts, departments, memos, invoice numbers, date, due date, and approvers. This allows the staff in charge of processing to focus more on reviewing rather than solely on prepping.
