Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
TriNet is used as a PEO for our US business. This portal is used by the HR & Finance department for On-Boarding of new employees, Payroll processing, Exit process & also provides for & monitors Employee Benefits. All employees have their login for the Employee Self Service Portal and HR & FInance have their Admin User Login. TriNet platform completely addresses all requirements as per on-boarding process, Payroll process, Federal & State Tax payments, Benefits for employees, Employee Exit process etc.
- On Time Payroll execution
- Employee Contact Center to address all possibles queries from employees
- Assigning of Client Services Specialist for each account
- Pre-set list of Reports available. Reports cannot be Customised as per our requirement. Should provide for more Customization. Also, Cost Center Report is not providing correct figures. Some additional column of Client Credits can be seen. The Client Service Specialist did mention that they are working on that almost a month back, but haven't heard anything since. The report continues to be incorrect.
- During the transition from old TriNet Platform to the re-designed TriNet Platform, challenges were faced while onboarding new employees.
- As we work in different Time Zones, the Payroll processing Preview does not work during our daytime (US night time). Gets quite inconvenient. The Platform should provide Preview option to work 24X7.
- Trinet uses its own Federal & State Account/ Registration Nos to pay for Federal & State Taxes on behalf of our company. When our company transitioned from our Payroll Software to TriNet, no information was sent to various Tax Authorities that Taxes would henceforth be paid by the PEO TriNet. Thus our company continued to receive Notices from different authorities on non-compliance of Monthly/ Quarterly reportings.
- TriNet definitely has had a positive impact on our Business resulting in better Employee Management, Benefits Management (Insurance & 401K Plans etc). Benefits Plan selection had always been a hassle for our company as we had employees from different States & this concern has been largely addressed by TriNet.
- Tax Payment deadlines being missed have not been a worry anymore. Man hours spent earlier on these activities are now being saved.
TriNet ensures all Federal & State compliances are met with no scope of delays or miss-outs & provides for a better package in terms of Employee Self Service Management, Benefits Selection from various options available thereby providing more flexibility to employees. It definitely is a more employee friendly software compared to Quickbooks. However, my experience shows that QuickBooks provides for better Reports Customization.
