I use TrustRadius for a great majority of my purchase decisions with our business. The particular one I am referring to was a good Photoshop alternative. I wanted to read real reviews and came across TrustRadius. Not only did it provide what I was looking for, it gave a recommendation which was excellent. I did end up buying, based on what I found here.

This site is ALWAYS transparent about pricing whether the vendors are or not. The reviewers will let you know what you can expect to pay for the product. That is very helpful when making purchasing decisions for your company. For Instance, When I said I was looking for a Photoshop alternative, I came here. I found a similar product, based on reviews, Affinity, that works exactly the same. I brought the product flat out with no monthly subscriptions solely based on the reviews I found here. So if I find that a vendor isn't transparent about pricing, I don't consider looking into it further.

I have only used Capterra as well in the past and I don't remember much, but I think they also have price comparisons with their reviews and that is why my company uses review sites. TrustRadius and Capterra are pretty similar. Both are helpful if we want to know facts, How much does it cost? How does this product work? Any Cons associated with the way it functions or customer service complaints? That's something we would want to know, and sites like TrustRadius evens out the competition for me with the user verification.

Well, I don't always buy a product with the highest score, but I do buy products based on good scores. I mean we all want a high-rating product because it is something we are investing in. But if the purchase decision is not a good fit for your company, you will probably get the next best thing. For instance, we wanted software for product management. There are tons of options to choose from, but we wanted something we could afford over a 5-star rating. So we ended up getting a product with a 4-star rating that lacked a few features but still works just fine.

Customer Service! If a good product has bad customer service, it is an automatic turnoff. There is a very popular brand (which I won't mention any names) that has horrible customer service when it comes to solving users' issues. I mean it can take weeks to reach a real person through email and there are no 800 numbers to reach the company.

If a product doesn't have excellent customer service, it's a no for me. So a challenge for me is finding honest reviews based on experience. That is why I come here for a dose of reality.
