We use TrustRadius to secure reviews for our software product. Buyers want to understand our strengths and weaknesses and how we compare to competition. TrustRadius gives us the ability to provide this information to them in an unbiased way.

Departments involved: Marketing (campaigns, product marketing, customer marketing), Product Management, Sales
  • Gives us the ability to see who is visiting our product's page on TrustRadius allowing us to identify active leads who are being influenced by TrustRadius
  • TrustRadius handles legal hurdles of getting permission from customers to use quotes and other comments in their reviews in our own marketing material
  • Integration with Salesforce. We haven't leveraged this yet, but it will allow us to plug relevant customer quotes from reviews into salesforce accounts and opportunities to make it easy for sales reps to use content
  • I'd like to be able to filter or present reviews based on specific versions of the product (as with all software, some versions are more stable than others).
  • A more visual way to view Visitor Insights would make them easier to consume and identify important info

We haven't had TrustRadius implemented long enough to have any meaningful, quantifiable metrics. The customer content that TrustRadius has been able to collect for us in a short period of time has a lot of potential value and we look forward to fully implementing and measuring the results.

We selected TrustRadius because we had existing momentum with the platform (in terms of quantity and quality of reviews) and it supported how we wanted to leverage that information. An important part, as well, was their consulting on best practices for utilizing the content.
A lot of the reviews submitted by our customers are thorough and provide significant detail into the product, reasons behind buying, reasons chosen over competitor, and other important feedback that validates a lot of the claims we make in marketing. The ability to add custom questions to the review process was very important to us because our use case is non-standard and our buyers have different considerations and challenges than the average buyer in the broader market.
Again, we are early in our implementation. We are currently in the process of making quotes from customer reviews pervasive throughout a lot of marketing material, landing pages, and sales enablement content. Quantifiable metrics will be soon to follow.
TrustRadius is an excellent tool for any software company that needs to provide prospective customers with unbiased feedback about their product. It helps in all stages of the buying cycle, particularly in the decision making phase.
