Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

We use UltiPro to manage our employee population using core functionality. It is the system of record for earnings deduction and taxes.
  • Core payroll processing. The process is smooth, with most processing automated.
  • Managing taxes. Tax reporting is clear and comprehensive. There are many report views to help identify and resolve issues.
  • Employee self-service. Employees are able to do many payroll tasks themselves, including viewing/printing pay statements and W-2s.
  • Reports in Excel are very, VERY difficult to use. They are essentially just the print reports in an Excel file. Numbers do not calculate like numbers. Columns often shift with each new page. Amount for tax code are displayed on two lines.
  • Tax recon generates errors that the system should recognize are invalid.
  • The system does not allow a second manual check to be posted if the first one was previously posted.
  • The system should support FLSA required functionality such as overtime lookback.

On urgent matters, the support is usually excellent. Less urgent matters can take longer to resolve.

Some of our processes require manual input. That limits the scalability.
