Raves for Ulitpro compared to the nightmare called ADP
Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
Ultipro is being used by our entire company as our payroll and human resources system. By users being able to log into their payroll, see their own paystubs, W2s, and other pertinent information, this has eliminated numerous requests to the HR/Payroll Department for this type of information. Also the ease of just needing internet access, not company website access, has really helped for my traveling employees and others located outside of the corporate offices.
Pros
- The reporting system in Ultipro is outstanding. The ease of creating new reports and the library database of system generated reports is better than any of our previous payroll systems.
- I love being able to see exactly what my payroll is going to look like, immediately before I press submit. This has eliminated so many problems that I had with my previous payroll system and allowed me to have better control of my payroll.
- The customer service portal is so convenient when I have an issue that I need resolved - I can easily submit a request to my customer service representative or anyone if needed.
Cons
- For salaried employees that end their employment within a month, I would like for the system to automatically calculate their correct hours worked on payroll rather than me having to do this manually.
- The main page where I can place my company information could be better laid out. Some employees don't realize that there are arrows on each side of screen that allow you to have more than one page.

I believe I have had significant cost savings since moving to Ultimate Software over ADP, not to mention the time savings of my time which also equates to a cost savings. For a worldwide company, of almost 500 employees, I am the HR, Payroll and Benefits Department along with one benefits cooordinator.

No - There is no charge for customer support that I am aware of. I've never had an issue with the current customer support that I receive so I can't imagine why I would even need premium support. I am very happy with the level of support that I receive from Ultimate Software. I really enjoy having a dedicated customer support rep and also the ability to contact a Rapid Response Team if I need an answer or help that minute.
Once I had an employee incorrectly listed as making $100,000 per hour instead of per year. When I transmitted payroll (without thoroughly checking my payroll report as I should have), it caused me to be overdrawn at the bank. When I contacted support, they immediately helped me fix the issue, resubmit my payroll and the employee nor my boss was ever the wiser.
