Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365

We have implemented Veeam Backup for Office 365 for customers who wanted to ensure data protection for their organization's email.

Comparing the protection settings that are available within native Office 365 versus what Veeam provides was critical for customers to realize the gap in protection they were missing from the cloud provider.
It is a very simple product, easy to install and configure. For existing Veeam customers, it may be a negative that this is a separate product and can't just be added in as a component to their existing Veeam server. From a complexity standpoint, this is good though, because it keeps Office 365 separate from all the other noise, and allows customers who don't currently use Veeam easy access to just the Office 365 functionality.
We have performed many test scenarios with customers to prove that restoring individual mail items is easy and works as expected. Thankfully, no customers have needed to perform critical restores, but they have the tools and practice at their fingertips to be confident should that situation arise.
I like the granularity of the product, being able to restore individual items. Also, the ability to provide valuable information to auditors that email is backed up with necessary data retention has been very useful.
Veeam makes it easy for existing customers and non-customers alike to purchase the product and get up and running very quickly. Also, the free version for up to 10 users provides for an easy POC that helps users realize the benefits right away.
to this point have not needed to utilize support for this product, so this rating is based on previous experience with Veeam support for other products.

This product is a must-have for any organization that uses Office 365 without any data protection solutions. Allows for the same protection levels you would expect for an on-prem exchange server.
