Veeam Backup & Replication is being across our whole organization as the primary backup and DR solution.
It meets the needs of the business by fully managing the backup, movement, and recovery of critical infrastructure VM and data between our head office where our central server infrastructure is located, and our colocated server infrastructure in a datacentre in a nearby city.

Veeam Backup & Replication protects 6 physical HyperV hosts and over 50 VMs across the business. It has continued to serve the business as the number of physical hosts and VMs grew over time and all that was needed was to add additional storage as our backup requirements grew also.

The previous solution did not provide any confidence in the ability to restore data. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that backups were actually corrupt and could not be restored, even though backup media was being faithfully changed daily. Veeam Backup & Replication enables the ability to test the backups of both VMs and Data - allowing us to comply with the audit requirements around testing backups on a quarterly and yearly basis and demonstrating this to the executive, creating confidence in the solution and the business IT in general.
Due to specific requirements around data storage of our clients’ data, we do not use any cloud data storage currently.
