Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

It might just be me, but during the COVID surges of people working from home and using Zoom, Zoom speeds were absolute trash and it would cause my computer to crash frequently. So I signed up for a free Webex Meetings account and would use their platform instead. Never had the connectivity or speed issues and it never once caused my laptop to crash. I haven't used it as my companies primary conferencing solution since 2017, but I think it might be time to stop giving all our business to Zoom. Also? Not having to rely on ZOOOOOOOM. I'm all for industry underdogs. Let's give some business back to other equally great platforms, huh?

Pros

  • Integrates with Outlook and Gmail
  • Easy to use for admins
  • Better connection speeds and quality at peak hours

Cons

  • I wish you could use other webex solutions with meetings in an all in one hub
  • takes a long time to save call recordings at times
  • Allowed us to save money on Zoom licenses for my small business side gig
  • Hard to get other folks on my team to even consider using it instead of Zoom
  • Doesn't integrate across all our platforms
I came from a Webex loyal company and always liked their tools over some of the more popular ones as mentioned.
Webex is great for my side gig start up because we're not in profit making stages yet and have a slim budget at the moment.

It's never down. Even on high network traffic days during COVID
I haven't had to scale it personally yet but having used it at a 4 person company AND a 2k+ employee company, it must be scalable, right?
The chrome extension and Google Calendar integration isn't always working
Too many people use Zoom and will complain if the meeting link you send them "isn't a Zoom link. Omg, I don't want to install another program when I have Zoom....complain, complain, complain." Like...you don't need to install anything Karen...if you'd use your eyeballs, just like with Zoom, there's a link in the window that allows you to join from your browser instead. Literally just as easy as Zoom and better speeds.
