Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

Webexpenses is the company standard software for submitting, reviewing and approving all business expenses for all staff. Everyone is encouraged to use it via the desktop or mobile, and I've found it to be hugely beneficial in terms of minimising the time and effort it used to take me to document and submit my own personal expenses, as well as approving those incurred by my team.
  • Fairly simple web interface.
  • Mobile friendly if you're not at your laptop.
  • OCR takes away a lot of the data entry usually required.
  • The interface is generally a little hard to navigate on first use.
  • Receipts and Claims are not obvious to create/join together.
  • I don't have any insight into this, but I imagine it's saved a lot of time and effort across the company.
I think the interface is a little dated and unintuitive. It works fine once you've learnt how to use it and what order to do things, but it's not immediately obvious when you first start to use the system and could benefit from a design refresh and modernisation. Maybe a slightly more guided experience or onboarding journey would help.
Submitting and approving claims are the 2 main areas of the Webexpenses software that I use on a frequent basis. Generating expense claims, capturing the receipt information, and adding supplementary information is all fairly straightforward and quick to complete. The OCR functionality really helps to minimise the time spent and is usually perfectly accurate.
It does everything I need it to as a user - I wasn't involved in the purchase decision.
I don't recall the previous system we used for expenses, but Webexpenses makes it look like something from the dark ages!

Webexpenses is a great fit for individuals or teams that need to be able to quickly upload all their receipts and documents related to an expense via a simple web or mobile interface. It reduces the effort required to do all this by using OCR to capture information directly from receipts, minimising data entry required and making it much quicker and easier than other systems.
