Overall Satisfaction with Whova

Most recently I was the high scorer in our regional conference for Illinois TRIO is an Educational Opportunity Programs. It made virtual attendance both engaging and fun as well as informative. We have used Whova at all of our conferences during the COVID 19 pandemic and we continue to utilize Whova for our local, national and regional conferences to help us to stay connected.
  • It is very effective and efficient for exchanging contact information.
  • It has tremendous potential for follow up activities.
  • The leader-board instilled a sense of friendly competition.
  • The tele-presence features worked very well.
  • The Whova App integrated seamlessly into our group meeting and meet ups.
  • A few times during the ice-breakers/mixers we lost our connection.
  • I wish the search functions were slightly more user friendly
  • I wish there was more archiving of materials available.
  • We have seen an 11% uptick in follow up appointments.
  • We have saved over a 1130 dollars per quarter in travel expenditures.
  • We have increased our client intake by 4.5%.
  • Our on-boarding process has been streamlined.
I have had two experiences with Whova for customer support, once I lost several contact from a regional conference. Whova for customer support was able to help me recover some of the lost contacts. I also contacted Whova for customer service regarding the loss of being able to interact with the rest of my round-table group members. Sadly, we were not able to reconnect me with with the rest of my round-table group members. I did follow up, but to no avail.
I wasn't directly involved with the implementation. So I did not participate in the implementation of this product, I will be skipping this question. However, from what I had witnessed the rollout of the product and it seemed to be well managed and proceeded fairly smoothly. I enjoyed receiving updates.

Whova works very well with technology savvy individuals in a variety of presentation formats. Whova is for positively exceptional to use for conferences and seminars. I really liked and used the business card scanning functionality, which made the transfer of business contacts simple, quick, and effortless. Through Whova, I only needed to scan the card on my mobile phone to store the contact information successfully.
Whova let me personalize the app and plan events as well. This way, I maximized opportunities and met the right people. On top of everything else, the platform allows attendees to check out the social media pages and bios of the speakers and fellow attendees so they can prepare. Whova is less than ideal in a pure distance leaning environment for education and training. Even media heavy sales and marketing presentations may suffer a little. I would readily recommend this app for any group event for the ease of use and the ability to create better interaction with attendees and organizers. I hope mobile app support of notifications is going to be bolstered.

  • To keep our messaging top of mind with our regional partners.

Evaluating Whova and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
I was impressed with the flexibility, scalability and support. I think Whova fits very well into an increasingly scattered and distant workforce. Also, the continuing development of integrations, plug-ins and add-ons will equip Whova with a strong outlook in the foreseeable future. My overall impression is that Whova values innovation.
I would have done more in-depth research prior to being introduced to Whova. I would have gotten more out of Whova sooner if I had. I am truly taken with the sheer number of varied, potential applications for Whova. In the future we will make much more extensive use of Whova in multiple parts of our organization.

Using Whova

Most of Whova's functions are intuitive and you can self-teach about 80% of it with ease. I really was impressive with the messaging, follow up meet-up capabilities and sharing of contact information. My only few concerns were about the lack of an archive or back up, [perhaps cloud-based?] of the meeting room and round-table's presentations.
