Whova For Virtual Conferences
Overall Satisfaction with Whova
It was an app for a virtual eDiscovery conference I attended. I also used it for another virtual conference during COVID.
Pros
- Easy to find information, good layout
- Easy to login and navigate between areas
- Great use of multimedia in event app
Cons
- Downloading the materials, would be good to have the name of the materials attached when downloading it. Now it shows the name on the app, but when you download it, you get a 'nothing' type name and have to rename the file so you know what it is.
- Make it possible to bulk download materials when you've fixed the naming issue.
- When in the UofF conference, and if the broadcast is going on in the same room for different sessions, needs an auto kick out of the session to force you to click on the new session. So many people in the chat did not understand that they had to exit the session and go to the new session to see the polls and engage directly there. That was annoying (people annoying not the app).
- Ease of use
- Ability to switch between mobile app and computer
- Overall appearance
- Functionality
- Not sure I can answer this as I was simply an attendee, but I felt it was good value for the investment of my time in the virtual conference
Have only used Whova or particularly proprietary software developed by the particular conference. That proprietary software was not nearly as good as Whova! No contest.
