Overall Satisfaction with Ziflow
Our Creative Department uses Ziflow for internal proofing, review, and approval. As designers, Ziflow has helped us streamline the proofing process with our copywriter and proofer, as well as our review and approval process with our Art Director. We can also bring in key players from other departments (Marketing, Sales, etc.) to review any related projects. It has become a one-stop shop for all necessary edits, changes, and feedback regarding our work.
Pros
- The ability to make specific and detailed comments and the ability to comment back, check comments off, etc. makes the proofing process organized and efficient.
- The ability to customize proofing workflows and triggers helps to streamline the proofing process.
- The ability to create multiple proof versions and compare older versions makes keeping track of edits much easier.
- Being able to upload files as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc. project files rather than just PDFs or JPGs saves designers a lot of time and effort.
Cons
- Project management—our department is still using Microsoft Planner, and we're considering switching to Asana in order to integrate with Ziflow. It would be nice if Ziflow was a one-stop-shop for PM and proofing, rather than having to switch between two programs.
- Ziflow could enhance its visual UX. As a designer, I'm not a fan of the list format that the proofs are displayed. They're hard to keep track of and differentiate. I would love something more visual, like the tiles/blocking of Asana and Planner.
- There is not much of an emphasis on due date/a proof being overdue. More of a visual cue would be helpful.
- Improved proofing efficiency.
- Time saved
- Improved approval process.
Ziflow has really streamlined the way we proof and approve creative projects. Everyone who needs to see and approve the content can be included in the proof and triggered when they're needed. It has cut down the back and forth chatter in chats, let me know when someone has seen and opened the project, and keeps all edits and changes in one place. It is much easier to keep track of everything regarding approving a project.
Since using Ziflow, I can track comments and edits all in one place without having to find and track them in our online Microsoft Teams chats. This has saved time, energy and doesn't leave things up for interpretation.
